It costs a lot of money to run and maintain a swimming pool. Buckfastleigh Open Air pool is funded by swimming revenue, volunteers, fundraising, sponsorship and donations.

Volunteer
Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool cannot survive without the help of volunteers. We are looking for people with a range of skills, from lawyers and accountants to plumbers and builders, fundraising volunteers to lifeguards. From helping in the tuck shop, to providing some practical DIY help, there are lots of ways you can get involved.
You will be joining a lively group, passionate about saving our pool. So come on, get involved!

Reception and tuck shop
Can you help with running the reception and the tuck shop? If you can sign up for a regular slot, that would be marvellous. If you can only help on an ad-hoc basis, that is fine – whatever you can manage.

Maintenance
In the closed season, we need volunteers to help with maintenance tasks, from cleaning and painting to more skilled tasks.
If you have building and maintenance skills such as plumbing, electrical and carpentry or even if you can wield a paintbrush or mop and can spare a few hours a week you would be most welcome to join our team.
