Night swim and Bat walk

Enjoy a stroll and guided Bat spotting with some of Buckfastleigh's legendary Greater Horseshoe's. Then enjoy a relaxing swim in our heated pool which will be gently lit by twinkling fairy and underwater lights.

About the event
Meet at the pool at 19:50, and we will walk to the bats, getting in the pool at about 20:50.
Experts will be on hand to tell you about these fantastic animals, and then, shortly after sunset, you will be able to observe several hundred bats as they start their night forage.
Then it's a short walk back to the pool for a magical night swim in our lovely warm pool with water heated to 26 degrees.
The pool area will be gently lit by twinkling candle lights and fairy lights, and each swimmer will be given a colour glow stick to wear, creating a magical and fun event.
After your swim, you will receive a complementary hot drink as part of the night swim.
Please note - we will be leaving from the pool at 19:50 to watch the bat emergence. The night swim starts back at the pool…
